St Peter’s Church of England Primary school is based in the heart of Whetstone, where it has enjoyed a long history since its original site opened in 1864, celebrating its 150th birthday in 2014.

All of our members of staff are passionate about supporting children and families in the locality through our distinctly Christian and caring ethos. To support us in this, we have strong links with local churches that visit school on a weekly basis. In addition we visit St Peter’s Church each term and children have the opportunity to lead Sunday services during the year.

The curriculum we teach aims to inspire pupils to develop a love of learning through a topic based approach with regular enrichment opportunities, events and trips. We believe this allows all of our pupils to achieve their full potential and to be confident and ready for the next stage of their learning.

Outside of the school day, pupils can enjoy a large range of sports and activities. We are lucky to have the strong support of parents in the PTA who run school events and fundraise to enrich the life of the school.
