We formed in April 2019, and are immensely proud to be a church-majority Trust with established links to the Leicester Diocesan Board of Education.

We are looking for the right people to join our team of Trustees and local Governors to contribute to the strategic leadership and development of our trust and its schools, both for today and for the future.
Governance is a challenging, enjoyable and hugely rewarding experience.
You don’t need to be an expert in education, as different skills, experiences and backgrounds complement the trust and local governing boards as a whole. Each board works with the relevant senior teams to make sure that our children and ‘learning for life’ are at the heart of all that we do.
The board of trustees has an over-arching responsibility for the governance of the trust at a strategic level, which is achieved by ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction, and via a scheme of delegation that sets out the specific responsibilities the trust board has delegated, including to the local governing board.
Governance involves working together with senior leaders and executives to deliver the strategy at trust or school level. Whilst this does not require day-to-day operational involvement, it does need a strong commitment to the role. Trustees and governors serve a four-year term of office, attend board and committee meetings and carry out monitoring visits and different functions depending on individual roles.
We rely on the broad range of skills and experience of our trust and local governing board members. As well as commitment, you will need the ability to challenge and question, and the willingness to learn and undertake training. Good communication, interpersonal and IT skills are essential, alongside the ability to interpret reports and data when required. We would particularly welcome applications from those with a background in educational leadership, finance, law or human resources. We look forward to hearing from you!
