Sherrier Church of England Primary School is a vibrant, busy and exciting place to be. We are all very proud of the children who come here and all that they achieve during their ‘journey’ through the school.
The school has high expectations of behaviour and achievement and we encourage all learning, (academic, personal and learning that takes place outside of school). Our children are taught to be well-mannered and respectful as well as to think for themselves. All of these qualities are built on in day to day teaching and in a way of working we use called P4C (Philosophy for Children).
As a Church school, we have a strong Christian ethos that is based on values such as care, respect and friendship and this is always evident in the way that members of staff and children interact with each other at our school.
Each year group are ambassadors for one of our Christian values of friendship, courage, thankfulness, compassion, trust and forgiveness, which they explore throughout the year.
The vision for the school includes our ‘Beckett List’, which is a set of shared values, aims and experiences that we would want to provide for all children before they leave at the end of Year 6.
We have been delighted to extend our Sherrier family by joining Embrace Multi Academy Trust and enjoy working with like-minded people who all want to achieve the best outcomes for the families we serve. We hope to share our current good practice and gain support from other trust schools in areas such as IT and finance.
